MEET OUR DOCTORS: Dr. Baxley, Dr. Michael Lunsford, Dr. Niki Lunsford

 
 

Dr. Niki Lunsford

Dr. Niki Lunsford was born in Davis, California and grew up in Gainesville, Florida. She completed undergraduate at the University of South Florida, and her DVM at the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Dr. Niki worked in mixed animal practice for 2 years before concentrating solely on small animal practice. She joined Dr. Michael at Lunsford Veterinary Services in 1999 part-time, and then full-time employment with the practice in 2001 following the birth of their son, Thomas. The Lunsfords currently reside in Tontitown, Arkansas with their dog and 2 cats. In the past, they have also enjoyed raising cattle and their pet goat.

Outside of practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Niki enjoys her family, church, soccer, baking, spending time outdoors and gardening/landscaping.

Dr. Michael Lunsford

Dr. was born and raised in Oklahoma. He received his Bachelors degree in biology from The University of South Carolina, and his DVM from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Dr. Michael’s primary interest area is in large animal medicine. Lunsford Veterinary Services, Inc. was established by Dr. Michael in 1997 as a primarily ambulatory large animal practice. To this day, he enjoys a variety in providing “on the farm” veterinary services and feels this is an important need he can fill for many animal owners.

Dr. Michael also enjoys other outdoor activities, spending time with family, woodworking, and taking good care of his clients.

Dr. Chelsea Baxley

Dr. Chelsea Baxley was born in Rogers, raised in Farmington, and went on to Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas for her undergraduate degree. She attended LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, graduating in 2015 with her DVM, focused in mixed animal veterinary medicine and surgery. After graduation, Dr. Baxley, her husband Cory, and their 2 dogs, Zoey and Mardi, returned home to NWA where we welcomed her to the LVCC team.

When she isn’t working, she enjoys playing with her daughter Riley and son Cayden, running with her dog, cycling, spending time with family, and attending Arkansas Baseball games.

Dr. Jackie Fry

Dr. Grace Schoenecke

Dr. Grace Schoenecke was raised on a farm in Burr Oak, Kansas. She completed her BA in biology from John Brown University and her DVM from Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Her career trajectory started a the ripe old age of 4, and she is now living her dream as a mixed animal veterinarian. Dr. Schoenecke completed clinical rotation with LVCC during her last year of vet school and joined the team as an associate veterinarian after graduation in 2023.

She and her husband, Andrew, reside just outside of Siloam Springs with their dog, cat, and numerous (unwanted) armadillos that will not stay off of the property. They have recently purchased a home and are renovating according to their decorating style, “natural history museum meets LSD trip.” Dr. Schoenecke fills her free time with baking, crafts, (crocheting, sewing, painting furniture), church, international travel, and miscellaneous shenanigans.
