Dr. Niki Lunsford was born in Davis, California and grew up in Gainesville, Florida. She completed undergraduate at the University of South Florida, and her DVM at the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine in1996. Dr. Niki worked in mixed animal practice for 2 years before concentrating solely on small animal practice. She joined Dr. Michael at Lunsford Veterinary Services in 1999 part-time, and full-time employment with the practice in 2001 following the birth of their son, Thomas.
The Lunsfords currently reside in Tontitown, AR. with their 2 dogs, 2 cats, and cattle. Outside of practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Niki enjoys her family, playing soccer and gardening/landscaping.

Dr. Michael Lunsford was born and raised in Oklahoma. He received his Bachelors degree in biology from the University of South Carolina, and his DVM from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Dr. Michael’s primary interest area is in large animal medicine. Lunsford Veterinary Services, Inc. was established by Dr. Michael in 1997 as a primarily ambulatory large animal practice. To this day, he enjoys the variety in providing “on the farm” veterinary services and feels this is an important need he can fill for many animal owners. Dr. Michael also enjoys other outdoor activities, spending time with family, woodworking, and taking good care of his clients.

Marilu Walla, Administrative Coordinator, was born and raised in Southern California. A brief move when she was a teenager introduced her to NWA, she returned when she was 23, and has been here ever since. Marilu and her husband have two adult children.
The Wallas live on a small farm in Lowell, AR where they raise sheep. They also have numerous cats, dogs, chickens, and a horse.
Marilu joined the LVCC family in 2002. She has enjoyed her many years working at the clinic as it involves all of her favorite things- people, animals, medicine, and working with numbers!
Karen Painter, Administrative Coordinator and Cat Advocate, joined us in the fall of 2007. Raised in Northwest Arkansas, Karen has always enjoyed caring for and keeping a variety of pets. One aspect of her work that she really likes is witnessing the unique bond that develops between clients and their animals. We appreciate Karen's compassion for our patients and their people.
When she is not at the clinic, she enjoys time with her family and pets.
JoAnn Keaton, Receptionist, joined us at LVCC in August of 2011, at our reception desk. We love her strict attention to detail! Her favorite part of her job is meeting the new puppies.
She is married to her high school sweetheart. They have 3 adult children, several granddogs, chickens, and a spoiled fur baby of their own; a miniature schnauzer named Lexi.
Charley Kay Mills, Veterinary Assistant, joined the LVCC family in August 2014. She was born in Springdale, raised in Gravelly, and studied Animal Science, Equine Science, and Agricultural Business at the University of Arkansas .
Charley Kay lives with 1 cat (Miss Kitty), 4 dogs (Dixie, Roscoe, Moose, and Lilly), 3 horses, and her husband Byron. She says she loves all the little bits of her job, especially surgery and ear mites. When she's not at the clinic she enjoys family time and barrel racing. Charley Kay loves the sport of rodeo and promoted the sport as 2012 Miss Rodeo of the Ozarks.
Beth Huff, Veterinary Assistant, is a local girl, graduated from the UofA in May 2017 with her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science. She is currently working on her Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology through the University of Alabama Birmingham. She has been with us since 2011, working with both large and small animal patients.
In her spare time Beth enjoys trailriding and working with her church. She shares her home with a Quarter Horse Shiloh, 3 dogs- Whooie, Pixie Dust, and Ladybug, cat - Nala, and a plethora of ducks and chickens.
Darian Plowman, Kennnel Assistant, moved to Arkansas from California 5 years ago. When he is not at the clinic caring for our overnight guests, he enjoys music and friends. Darian likes working with the animals "because they are always friendly and funny." His well-loved pets at home include Bentlee, a Great Pyrenese, and 2 cats, Violet and Xebo. Darian loves the chance to take extra time playing outside with our boarders, and making them feel more at home.
Dr. Chelsea Baxley was born in Rogers, raised in Farmington, and went on to Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas for her undergraduate degree. She attended LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, graduating in 2015 with her DVM, focused in mixed animal veterinary medicine and surgery. After graduation,
Dr. Baxley, her husband Cory, and their 2 dogs, Zoey and Mardi, returned home to NWA where we welcomed her to the LVCC team.
When she isn't working, she enjoys playing with her baby girl, Riley, running with her dog, disc golf, spending time with family, and Arkansas Baseball.

Kim Walker (not pictured), Receptionist, has worked as an EMT, a small business owner, and a stay-at-home mom before coming to us at LVCC in 2015. While she grew up in Northern Illinois caring for cattle, pigs, and a variety of pets, she has lived in NWA for the past 15 years.
Kim is the smiling face and helpful hands that greet you at our reception desk. She says the best part of the job is seeing and meeting all the patients that come through the door. She also loves gardening, horseback riding, and attending sporting events with her children. She keeps a small farm with her youngest son and several pets, including 3 fainting goats, 3 dogs, and 3 cats.

Danielle Smith (not pictured), Veterinary Assistant, grew up in Prairie Grove. She is studying Animal Science/Poultry Science at the UofA. When she's not filling in the gaps here at LVCC or studying, she loves to ride horses and Rzrs. Danielle is part of Rzrback Offroad, a non-profit organization that helps raise money for various charities.
She has 2 horses- Faith and Little Dot, 2 dogs- Wrangler and Tippy, and a cat named Bunny.
Lori George (not pictured), Veterinary Assistant, grew up in Ohio, moved around a few times, and landed in Arkansas 12 years ago. She joined the LVCC team in 2016 and has really enjoyed getting to work with goats. They make her giggle! She likes to read, play pool, and cook, at which she is gradually improving! She has an attention hogging golden retriever, Whisky, and a goofy Great Dane, Kasey.
Christen Phillips, Kennel Assistant, grew up in Siloam Springs. She is currently enrolled in online classes at Penn Foster to become a Veterinary Technician. When she is not working at LVCC, she is working on her family's farm. She enjoys showing cattle, photography, and beadwork. She has cattle, 3 dogs -Rosie, Copper, and Amos, and a cat named Blackie Chan.
